Located 5 miles south of downtown Seattle, Georgetown is Seattle's oldest residential neighborhood. An independent city from 1904 - 1910, our neighborhood includes a strong and active residential core, a growing retail district, a thriving creative community and adjacent industrial businesses.
The Georgetown Community Council is a non-profit organization seeking to improve the quality of life for all who live, work and play in Georgetown.
On the second Sunday of July, The Georgetown Community Council supports the annual Georgetown Garden Walk. Now in its 18th year, the 2013 Georgetown Garden Walk will be held on July 14, 2013. The event brings more than 3,000 visitors to Georgetown to admire hidden art studios, gardens, the Hat n Boots, live music, and a neighborhood BBQ. More information can be found on the Garden Walk website
